we used a combination of apps for the iphone, looping, midi triggering, some synths, and one of the biggest issues we thought we were going to have is that if we received a call it would crash the whole thing, so airport mode. but we still needed the wifi in order for it to network with the computer to trigger midi, so actually you can switch the wifi back on and have the best of both worlds, but when the airport mode turned off the wifi initially we both had a serious oh oh moment. it actually prompted me to call o2 and ask about being abroad and using this function in a wifi spot in order to not incur the huge charges that some folks have been talking about and they actually couldn’t tell me for sure what would happen, so i have to try it and call them… anyway back to the subject, the apps we used are listed below. i tried really hard to fit in a theremin, but completely failed. next time.
