BACK TO CABARET VOLTAIRE
November 18th, 2008We’re back in the ‘burgh this weekend to play the one day speakers ep launch with city city beat. It’s at cabaret voltaire from 7.00, we’ll be on pretty early so drink quickly before you come down. It’s 4 quid in advance/students or a fiver on the door, you can get tickets here
We actually played our first gig as any color black at cabaret voltaire a year and a bit ago so it’ll be nice to retrace some old footsteps.
Hope to see you there, we may even have some new tshirts, but we have been promising that for a while and we don’t like change..

TOUCH ME EP - ARTWORK RELEASE
November 1st, 2008here it is… we’ll have the original artwork at the launch, which will be in the buff club on sat 29 nov. you’ll be able to grab an advance copy of the ep and a print of the artwork.

We’re playing the three sisters with epic 26 this friday, as part of 32 music promotions. Last time we played the three sisters, we got there a little early so found out all the history of the place and apparently it took it’s name from the fact they condemned three sisters to die there after they were caught performing illegally. There is a a lot more to the story but it’s hard to remember it all and normally we would just start making some stuff up, but we don’t want to mess with ghosts…

HOW WAS IT FOR YOU?

Thanks so much so everyone who came along to the buff this weekend, we managed to get more than enough images to create our artwork and really enjoyed the whole night.
We spent sunday chopping, slicing and sticking to get the artwork sent off in time. We won’t be releasing the full artwork till november 1st, but couldn’t resist posting a sneak peek - is that my hand or yours?

LESS THAN A WEEK TILL ‘TOUCH ME IN THE BUFF’
October 14th, 2008and we can’t wait…
thanks to everyone who came along to the ladyhawke gig, that was our first time in abc2 and we rather enjoyed ourselves. one of the best things about being a duo is the fact we get the same size rider as a 6 piece band, we got a table of water at the abc2 (literally about 20 bottles) so when we were rehearsing this week we were just pulling random bottles of highland spring from various places we had shoved them in our kit. anyway as interesting as us keeping hydrated is, what we really should be talking about is ‘touch me’ this weekend…
doors are at 7 and it’s over by 10 - so early shots for everyone… eh hem please drink responsibly.

TOUCH ME IN THE BUFF?
September 23rd, 2008Wanna be on the cover of our EP? or in our video?
We’re having an event in the buff club on sat 18 oct. It’s a live event to create the artwork and video for our EP - Touch Me. We’re going to take snaps of people touching each other and then chop them all up with a giant guillotine and put them back together to form a big image. It’s based on the polaroid project in NY, where they chopped up heaps of polaroids and created an image, you can read all about it here. We’re not as cool as that so we’re taking the images digitally and hopefully sticking them in a video as well. Here’s the other ‘add on’ - we’ll have a bluetooth station set up so all the images and videos you take with your niffty little camera phones you can beam them to us on the night, and as long as they’re not you in the toilet doing something far too naughty, we’ll include these clips in the video footage too.

We’re really looking forward to it… It’s even free so you can spend all your cash on booze, and we’re doing it with some very special guests…

September 16th, 2008Returning from the US of A to a slot confirmed at the Skins Live party at the arches is never a bad thing… you can find out all you need to know here…
We have some other things in the pipeline, including a return to dundee, so as soon as they get confirmed we’ll post it up.
