hi folks, after our ’soft launch’ of our online store the other week, we have now worked out a few of the kinks and are fully open for business. we have t shirts and hoodies and cds and are looking to add a few more items over the coming months, so please let us know if you have any suggestions.

currently we’re looking into pants and would really like your feedback on this idea and also next on the tshirt front is the one below, please let us know if you’d like it and i’ll try and force andy into ordering some soon…

you can find the shop here // currently we are not charging for postage and packaging as a kind of ‘wayhay we’re open’ moment so if you are kitting yourself out with some any color black apparel and are thinking about getting your other half a matching outfit, please go ahead and do that now so you’ll save a few quid.

a free any color black gig of course! i was going to go with the title ‘what’s better than sex?’ but thought that felt a bit much…

we’re playing on the renfrew ferry on the 31st of july for the launch of 32 miles to breakfast’s new EP. we’ve always fancied a gig in the ferry and the boys from 32 miles have a great country twist to their stuff so we’re really looking forward to this one.

so now for the ticket details, we have a wee stack to get rid of and all you have to do is email band@anycolorblack.com your name // address // how many tickets you’d like and the answer to the following question

free tickets will be given on a first come first serve basis (or first to send us a naked pics) and we’ll email you back within 24hrs to let you know what’s happening.

if you’re not quite sure of your plans for that weekend, you can still buy tickets on the door for £6. we’re not sure of our stage time yet, but doors are at 8pm and we’ll update via facebuch and twits…

thanks for everyone who came down to the soundhaus the other nite, top bunch of people in there and we’re looking forward to returning for a freshers extravaganza soon.

so it’s the eve of our ep release and it’s a good point to stop and have a little bit of reflection…

in the last month we’ve played rockness, had a headline show at the leith festival, had an amazing ep launch and it would have been pants without your support.

so we’d like to say thanks to everyone who continue to show up at things, know the words to songs, hand out flyers and harass the general public, drag mates along, buy our t shirts or at least attempt to scam a free one, take photos, shoot videos, listen to our music, read our sporadic blog posts and give a shit about our music. it means more than this little blog post can say and we will never be able to say thanks enough for being part of it.

as our ep launch comes ever closer we’d like to share the third track with you this weekend… it’s called start a fire and features the viridian quartet who played with us as one of our favorite gigs ever last year…

recorded in our little studio with the string parts recorded in a rehearsal room in glasgow, it was co produced and mixed by mister mark freegard. we’d really like to do another gig with the viridian quartet at some point this year as they’re uber great to work with and very nice so we’ll see if we can squeeze that in…

and i still haven’t washed my hair…

here’s some snaps and footage from our show on friday… this weekend we have our second festival performance of the summer in leith and you can find out more about it here. and we’ll be doing a special with leith fm on friday, check our twitter or facebook for when we’re on live on air with some acoustic specialness… although we had a quick tune and chat with them after our gig last night and managed to talk about adult diapers, shaved testicles and swear repeatedly, so maybe they won’t have us back…
