we’ve recently linked in with flat beat – bringing bands to a house parties.
gary, the booker, recently put together our listings on this page and we’re thinking that this should be the new any color black bio…
They say – we like to party and we like to play tunes with big beats.
We say – I’d say from the above ACB were being modest, but frankly i’d say they were just being fucking lazy … but why the hell shouldn’t they be? A guitar/beats combo who’s star is in the ascendancy, by the time you read this they’ll probably be famous anyway, and far too big to play your stupid party. BUT … if by some queer twist of fate they’re not No.1 as we speak, then you might just be in for the party of your life. Take the confrontational sexuality of Peaches, riffs out of the “fuck me that’s some riff ‘09″ book, and more dancefloor edge than the edge of a dancefloor, and you’re halfway to the ACB experience. Genuinely pant-throwingly exciting (yes, you did put them on at the Academy Andy …) and already garnering a legion of slavingly loyal fans, the fact that The Ting-Tings are famous and Any Color Black ain’t just goes to show how fuckin’ screwed up music has become. I’d say book them now, but you’re probably too late anyway, loser …
there may have been some alcohol invoved…
anyway if you’d like us to play your party/bar mitzvah/while you’re having dinner – head over to flat beat on myspace and please mention you were fully persuaded by gary’s description.
looking forward to the grv this thursday, we debuted a new track at dave (our sound guy) ’s birthday party on saturday and despite the amount of jack daniels consumed i remember it went pretty well…
